As Big Brother Grows People Push Back

The most well known implementation of big brother in our own lives ins the dreaded red light camera, and as more of them are installed, more people are getting antsy about them.  While I understand the public need to reduce traffic accidents, which I will grudgingly admit cameras help reduce, I do think revenue is the primary motivator. After all, like the article points out, there are other ways to reduce traffic accidents that are relatively easy, and inexpensive, such as increasing the length of the yellow light. It's nice to see that some locations have fought back and had them removed. If we are ever to defeat statism it will have to be on the local level first.
